Hi everyone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. It is just the WiFi version. I was wondering, when will I be able to upgrade from Gingerbread to ICS?! Im looking forward to it!! Thanks.
Samsung is behind the times IMO on their tabs and ICS. They only have one tablet (that I know of) with ICS right now - Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). None of their HC devices have been updated (Motorola, ASUS and Acer have most if not all tablets on ICS).
From a google search, best guess is Q2 2012 (sometime before the end of June).
You should be running Honeycomb now, and I remember Samsung did commit to ICS on the 7 plus. Since the Tab 2 7 is using a different processor they probably have to separately develop an ICS ROM for the plus. On my Transformer I haven't really seen any huge changes or improvements since the upgrade to ICS, so it really isn't that big a deal to me.
