First of all, "Hello, My Friends!"

I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" (Wi-Fi) (Yeeeih!)
I want to buy a Dongle to be connected to 3G/4G, and these are my questions:

1) Which dongles would you recommend me to buy?
- I would prefer 4G, if available/will-work in Android (4.0.4)
- Or if 3G, the last model available
- Or simply a very good one you'd recommend.
- Please, List ALL known working ones.

2) Let's say I get it to work: Will I be able to use SMS/voice service, anyhow?
Will I be able to get calls/SMSs ?

These are my specs:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" (Wi-Fi) Model GT-P3113
Android Version: 4.0.4
Kernel Version: 3.0.8.814538-user

Welcome to the forum!

I have only heard of a very select few USB dongles that advertise that they work with Android 4.X. They have Huawei chips in them and advertise Android ICS compatability. Not sure if your carrier will have any available.

Because of this lack of drivers, most users either tether to their smartphone via Bluetooth or WiFi, or get a 3G/4G MiFi device that takes the cellular signal and converts it to WiFi for up to 5 users. I have a 4G MiFi from Big Red and I get 26 Mbps downloads and 12 Mbps uploads with it when on 4G.

For SMS, I use Google Voice on my tablet. It allows me to send/receive SMS to my Google Voice number. I can also use GrooVe IP to make calls using my Google Voice account from my tablet. It is possible to receive calls as well if you set up your account per the instructions to receive calls. Both of these work over 3G/4G and WiFi as well.

Excellent. Thanks.
I'll check the MiFi options, though I want a very very small device, so Its easy to carry all the time.

Great forum, by the way.
Congratulations! I hope you make quite a good amount of money with the ads!
I've clicked a few for you! My 2 cents!
