widget/shortcut removal from homescreen(s)

Ive just bought a fr-809 tablet running 2.2 but i cant seem to remove any widgets or shortcuts from the homescreen(s). When I long press on the icon it just opens it and the trash bin doesnt pop up, I also cant move them around. The long press doesnt seem to work anywhere else either.

Any ideas or help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You have to make sure when you long press that you do not move your finger. Also, it is possible that you have a customized UI on your Tablet (there are several builds that do this), which results in the widgets being locked.

Try installing a different Launcher app to see if you can customize that, something like ADW.Launcher or Launcher Pro.

I got this problem too..
|'ve been tired browsing on SE, there is no post about it..
hope anyone here can solve this problem..

It doesnt have android market on it so cant really find any launcher apps. Ill keep looking though because that is a good idea.
