WIFI "error" in BSNL/Penta IS701R android tablet

I have recently bought BSNL/Penta IS701R Android 2.3 Tablet.

When I turn on the WIFI I get "error" and wifi does not work. Then it automatically turns wifi off.

How do I fix it.

Can anybody please help me??

Hey vnk, if you do find a solution to the problem please post it here so that we can help each other.

A friend of mine has a peculiar problem in the same model. He can't copy or delete files on his tablet.
Tried different apps ... same results. Wonder why ?

Sir there are 6 files available in this link download all of them extract them in
windows xp service pack 3 only then open

1)file 1 in it (.exe)file will be there open it boot disk is written select it then
browse it to the location where u have unzipped the software,

2)then again select boot disk then select the REMOVABLE pen drive

3)then again select boot disk then click BURN
burning will take place then insert the micro SD into the tablet started it hopefully
all the issues will be resolved.

Got the solution.. I went to one of their service centre and the guy over there reinstalled the OS of the tab.. Its working fine since..

I went to the link and have been trying to download the files but I have not been able to download. Any reason why ?? I logged into my gmail account, I tried Firefox, IE, Chrome and still I can't download the files. What am I doing wrong ???

I got is701r today and even i have the same problem with wifi any one found any working solution?

They have come up with little changes in the os.. the new latest os is the one in which Penta tutorial comes runs at start up.. And as per my knowledge, the only way to upgrade it is via service centre.

If anyone have this OS then please share..

P.S. after the upgrade WIFI problem is solved.. Atleast till now..
