WiFi error - WiFi will not enable

I purchased the MID tablet for my daughter. Model number m799ca V2.0 Android version 2.3.3

According to the user manual, it states in section 6 "getting started" under Wi-Fi Network Setup, that it will automatically search for networks. When attempting to enable WiFi, it says "turning on...." then Error.

Please help! She has had this since Christmas and would love to use it to its fullest.

i bought a batch of 50 tablets with the same problem. the manufacturer had some sort of weird mac address set up with their router. couldnt get them to connect to save my life. kept returning an error. the answer was actually simple. i did a full reset, erasing the internal sd card. after that, did a standard turn on wifi, chose the network, entered the password, and now it works and sticks... hope it works for you to... good luck!
