WiFi Problem

HELP ME PLEASE. I CAN'T SEEM TO GET ON THE INTERNET. ON MY ANDROID TABLET. I AM FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTION AND IT IS NOT WORKING. I WAS ON VIA WI-FI THEN TURNED OFF AND NOW I AM UNABLE TO CONNECT. WHAT CAN I DO?????

Tap settings. Tap wi-fi. Tap menu. Tap scan. Find your internet connection. Tap connect. If it doesn't connect, tap "forget". Then tap scan again. See if this works.
