Wifi security apps?

Hi
I've just bought a joytab 9.7 specifically for taking abroad with me. I wondered what security I would need to use wifi abroad and protect my passwords etc. I dont plan on logging into my bank or anything just my email, but I dont want that hacked either. Also are there any other antivirus apps I should be looking at?

Your best bet is what you said, don't use your passwords, however there is an app that may help, here

The app recommended by my friend leeshor should take care of your need for a firewall. If you feel you need one, there are also several free anti-malware apps available on the markets. I'm using Lookout on mine with no apparent performance issues. Another popular one is AVG Antivirus Free.
