Best thing to do is google each USB modem,
Then after finding the brand/chip set to see if it will work with android

You have to find out if there is software to run the USB sticks. If not, you will need a hotspot device instead of USB.

I'm in the same process now. I have a USB 4G stick. I might buy myself a mobile router or go with a Windows tablet due to lack of drivers for the cellular modems.
