After seeing the news that sprint is dropping the price on the tab to 299, I found myself thinking about getting one. I was interested if the tab would be getting honeycomb or not?
Rumors say the original Tab does not have what is required to run Honeycomb. I will probably require Super Amoled and dual core. Samsung is very bad about providing significant upgrades, anyway. ie;
Epic 4G. I'd wait for any of the newer tablets. Personally, I'd wait on a XOOM.
Well according to what I've read on a few websites, there's no hardware minimum requirement to run honeycomb. However as mentioned before, it could take a while to see an update from Samsung.
I was going to wait for the next gen, but yesterday I got an offer I couldn't refuse. £320 for a contract free brand new Galaxy tab. not bad, and I can always sell it later.
I'm waiting for a 7" tablet (next gen) I hope something similar to the Xoom comes out on 7".
