I have just upgraded my M701-R to operating system to 2.3 & it works great! It's faster than 2.1. I don't get any garbling at the top of the screen, like some people do, & the WiFi seems to work without a flaw.
I did notice though that my USB wired keyboard doesn't work any more, on Android 2.3, so I went out and bought a wireless one, hoping that it'd do the trick & it does. It appears as though any wireless keyboard that works in Windows Vista/7, without any need for external drivers, will work on Android 2.3. This is my experience anyways.
