I just tested a couple of USB flash drives and confirmed they work via the USB adapter for the MID7022.
They mount under /sdcard/scsi_sda1. You will see the notification system listing it as scsi sda.
You can use any file browser to browse the drive copy files to and from the device. Very usefull when flashing and transfering images.
