HBO released a bunch of shows to the Play Store, including Game of Thrones and The Newsroom. Also, Final Fantasy 6 for iOS and Android was formally announced, Koushik Dutta got AirPlay working on Android, and Google Chrome has a hidden feature to screencast Android devices. Check out the video above to learn more and here are the 5 Android apps you cant miss this week!
Clash of Clans
[Price: Free]
First on our list this week is the release of Clash of Clans. This extremely popular title started on iOS and has finally made its Android debut. Itll no doubt be downloaded by millions of people worldwide and if youre into gaming, we recommend you not miss out on this. If youve never heard of it, its an epic strategy game with online multiplayer capabilities.
Yahoo! Mail
[Price: Free]
Yahoo! Has been wildly busy fixing itself over the last year or so and while they still have a long way to go, they have improved dramatically. Their email app just got a big update that allows inbox theming and gives users of their email platform 1TB of storage to do with as they please. This also extends to their Flickr users. Were not saying you should leave gmail but if you have a Yahoo account, now is a good time to open it back up.
Digg
[Price: Free]
Digg has been working hard to improve their mobile platform. A slew of recent updates have improved things quite a bit with their latest update allowing for only unread items to show up in feeds. Its one of the most popular news apps out there and if youre looking for a new one, you could do a lot worse than Digg.
Skype
[Price: Free]
Skype was recently updated to include a full, tablet optimized version of the app so if youve been wanting a better Skype experience on a tablet, nows your chance to enjoy it. Included in the recent update were video quality and accessibility improvements. Most people on Android opt for Hangouts, but if you are a Skype user, the app just got a lot better.
Amazon Mobile
[Price: Free]
If youre one of our India viewers, I have some good news for you. Amazon has updated their Android app to include Amazon.in so if you havent picked it up yet, nows the time to do so. Other new improvements are notifications for subscribe & save orders and notifications for Gold Box Deal of the Day promotions. Its one of the best shopping apps you can get.
