Today I had received this package from FedEx which had to be signed for. Funny how Meritline had sent me an email saying it was coming from Singapore but it really was coming from China. I had ordered this device on the July 23rd, 2010. The package reads was shipped out on July 31th 2010. I got it today on August 6th, 2010. So this item had taken 16 days.

The device needs to be charged. There is a power button on top and on the front it the Menu butt ton not (power). More videos to coming if I can get it working?

That's a Gome Flytouch running a VIA WM8505 chipset.

Box is generic at best. Yeah I didn't get the item until around 6pm in evening. I am testing it out now. Android Market works great out of the box! The unit starts up saying Build v1.7.4.x That's suppose to be a tweak version of the OS. There seems to be a shake feature and two forms of touchscreen pressure sensor setup (Calb) for short. Right out the box English was configured! Clock was in 24HR mode time/date was in China Zone GMT. The memory shows 256MB. I just inserted another 4GB microSDHC into it as I wasn't able to bring off my IIS 7 music mix I had made which wouldn't work on Gentouch 78 gave me error. But on this device it downloaded to the mSD and played find. Volume isn't loud like it is on the Gentouch 78. It's downloading a movie from my IIS 7 to the device wireless. I'll see how that goes.

Newest version is 1.8.2 for your Flytouch by the way. Might want to give that a shot

If you plan on holding on to it, there also some custom firmware floating around for that.

Triggered the Reset to wipe out all my settings for RMA. Thanks but it's going back to where it came from SunValley Trading Company SHENSHEN, China (not much data on this company but I am sure they go a good inventory of these knock-off clones. Port modes shown here there is a touchscreen graphic you press manually to have the screen rotate from LAND to PORT mode as shown below.

That's too bad. These tablets are good for the money, if you find the right contacts to get the good ones.

How can this one be good for the money? If the CPU is not 533MHz/600MHz (400MHz wondering?) and wireless is lousy not like the Gentouch 78. Of course I get this with Memory Booster Lite under Gentouch 78 the management is lower for the RAM free where as the Knock-off under Memory Lite.
