I know the thread is about using the air card direct.
I use my VZN air card in a wifi router.
Been using it that way for six or eight years.
When my daughter's Infinity showed up this week, it connected with no problem.
It doesn't know what the source is, if you use a router. Some travel routers are pretty small.
