Amazon Free App of the Day

Duke Nukem 3D Android is the 11/30 app.

The original King of Action Heroes is back! 18 hours of alien-blasting action await you. Play the original PC version on your smartphone or Kindle Fire. This game turns your cell phone into pure adrenaline with its unbelievable 3D graphics. More aliens, weapons, and awesome levels than most human life forms can handle.

The Lost City is the 12/1 app.

Grandma was right. Nobody really believed her, not even you. For years she regaled you with magical bedtime stories of her adventures as an archeologist. You cuddled closer and listened with wide eyes as she told of her most enchanting discovery--The Lost City.

A mysterious power is calling from the ruins, and Grandma knows why, but is now too old to handle the mission. Inspired by classic choose-your-own-adventure games, you must return to the sleeping ruins and bring with you the artifact that is the heart of the civilization, once wrongfully removed from the sacred land.

Overall 4 star rating and nice graphics, but it comes with no instructions and any progress I have made on it has been hit and miss. I went to the developer's site and that didn't help.

That's a shame JB. It looked like a good one, and who's Grandma wasn't an archeologist?

It is a pretty large file and people that are familiar with these types of games would probably enjoy it.

Kunundrum is the 12/2 app.

Guide your spark, flinging orbs to their colourful goals to unlock stage after stage of brain boggling fun! Make your way through 180 levels of intense strategy using mind warping logic encountering Teleporters, Direction Changers, Blockers, Gates and Switches that alter your path as you try to complete the puzzles in as few moves as possible.

Just when you are about ready to give up on the FAOTD, along comes Kunundrum. The developer is Hope This Works Games. Love it. Easy to learn but higher levels are not so easy to complete. Wouldn't be much fun if they were. Intense strategy was a good way to phrase it. Get it free today or pay for it tomorrow. :)

Ok, you convinced me I paid the full free price for it ;)

We know, you'd d/l anything today just to have an excuse to play with the new N7.:p

Android Trek - Galaxy Defense is the 12/3 app.

Fans of star trek and star wars may enjoy this space based defense game. Use your compliment of torpedoes and power to defend your ally’s ships and space stations against the other two factions. Loot destroyed ships, resource nebula, explore planets and moons. Dock at your faction’s stations to replenish your supplies. Watch out for sectors which have you outnumbered and use the distress signal to request assistance. If the hull is critical, leave combat by jumping to a neutral sector and wait for your crew to fix up the ship.

You got a new tablet JP, that's why you are not helping, you are busy playing with the new toy.....do you like it?

;) It is very nice. It really makes me appreciate what a good tablet a custom ROMed Nook Color/Tablet is. I don't feel like I have been missing anything and even been having a true Jelly Bean experience before getting a Nexus device. The Nexus 7 does edge out the Nook Tablet (and it should) in over all performance but for an average user just coming to tablets I think they would have a very hard time telling any difference between the Nexus 7 and the Nook Tablet running Jelly Bean :D
