Amazon Free App of the Day

Counting with the Very Hungry Caterpillar is the 3/20 app.

The most-loved Caterpillar in the world is hungry…Very Hungry! Find and eat all of the Caterpillar's favorite foods while you learn the fundamentals of numbers and counting, in this beautiful, interactive math game for kids aged two years and up. This game has five levels of increasing difficulty. There's a variety of things to try and different skills to practice, all building a basic math foundation.

Do you know what happens when you feed a caterpillar? They go get all their little caterpillar friends and you have to feed them too! Then before you know it, your house is crowded with caterpillars. Then your cat and your dog have nothing to play with because the caterpillars have eaten their pet toys. Next thing you know animal control comes and hauls you off to jail for trying to drown the caterpillars in your Corona Extra.

Do you know what happens when you feed a caterpillar?

Isn't that pretty much what happens if you share your beer with a bear? Except I wouldn't recommend trying to drown a bear in your beer.

Voxel Invaders is the 3/21 app.

With Voxel Invaders you will enjoy the simplicity and vintage feeling of the classical game "Space Invaders" boosted by incredible voxel graphics and 3D effects. With just one finger you can fire your voxel canons at the enemies while moving your spaceship in 4 directions to dodge their attacks. Collect bonus to obtain new weapons and lives, make your way through asteroid fields and be surprised by dramatic 3D immersions or radical change of gameplay.

This one needs no introduction. If you are old enough to remember playing this game in the bar (they didn't have arcades back then), then you will probably want it on your device. 5 star rating.

The Croods Movie Storybook is the 3/22 app.

The Croods Movie Storybook transports fans back in time to tell the story of the first family road trip. Grug leads his caveman family, the Croods, on a perilous adventure across harsh terrain as they try to outrace cataclysmic events. Can Grug do it alone, or will the Croods require the help of Guy, a brave outsider? Join Grug, Ugga, Eep, Guy, Thunk, Sandy, Gran, and a cast of prehistoric creatures to find out if they can survive the journey–and each other!

The storybook features Auto Play, Read To Me, and Read To Myself narration options, as well as genuine character audio from the film.

Did they have beer back in those days? They must have to come up with names like Ugga and Eep. Anyway, it looks like a pretty good children's storybook app.

When a book has the auto play, is already a good book...any other feature makes it better!

Shouldn't the official alternate ATF get a beer here and there just for beeing the alternate ATF?

Shouldn't the official alternate ATF get a beer here and there just for being the alternate ATF?

Sorry, the beer budget doesn't allow for that. However, if JB is OK with it, we could possibly divert one of his shipments to you once a week.

Until the bear wakes up from his nap I could do with a little less beer. We still have a couple feet of snow on the ground so it probably won't be any time soon.
Here is a live cam if you want to keep track. :)
