Amazon Free App of the Day

Dumb game, by makers of Angry Birds. Obviously a kids game and yet it comes with this warning; Important Message for Parents

This game may include:
- Direct links to social networking websites that are intended for an audience over the age of 13.
- Direct links to the internet that can take players away from the game with the potential to browse any web page.
- Advertising of Rovio products and also products from select partners.

Another app that requires full network access.

You have to give them credit for full disclosure. They didn't have to post the parental warning.

Calculator Plus is the 10/19 app.

Calculator Plus, at your service. Beautifully designed, the simple-to-use calculator is perfect for helping you with shopping or homework. Never calculate the same thing twice. All performed calculations are remembered, available for you to review anytime you return to the app.

This app is as advertised. Most of the 1 star reviews said either that the keys were too small to read, or you were required to have wi-fi turned on in order to use it. This almost made me not download it. The calculator takes up your entire screen so reading the keys is definitely not a problem if you have a tablet. It also works fine with the wi-fi off.

Sci-Fighters is the 10/20 app.

From the creator of "The Impossible Game" comes fast-paced action for two players on one device! You and 3 opponents are set in an arena haunted by a monster. Using flash grenades, monster potions and an ice-rifle, each player tries to be the last man standing using classical 2D-gameplay mechanics.

Vam Jump is the 10/21 app.

Control the jumping vampire in this addictive, hopping game. Your vampire is afraid of garlic and sunshine, so be sure to avoid them! Tilt left or right to direct where the vampire will jump and be on the lookout for special props to accelerate your moves.

Brain Trainer Special Pro is the 10/22 app.

Keep your brain jogging with this simple yet effective app. The more you train specific skills, the better results you’ll see. Enjoy the many styles of puzzle and game modes like Math Ninja, Letter Sequences, Memory Numbers, Tricky Colors, and Memorize 123.

This one you have to decide for yourself. It gets good ratings, but requires full access to your wi-fi info and one reviewer said it has adware.

I guess some people won't want to try this one. It could reveal short term memory problems.:(

Notepad Pro ++ is the 10/23 app.

A practical notepad that allows you to save notes quickly in your tablet or smartphone. Use it to save shopping lists, dates to remember or other important things you need to keep track of. Welcoming, simple, and easy-to-use interface makes for no learning curve.

Very basic notepad. Nothing Pro about it. Check out Google Keep. It has far more functionality and it is always free.

Sprinkle Islands is the 10/24 app.

Titan burns again! Award winning, fire-fighting, water-physics puzzler Sprinkle is back with an all new adventure. You control a tiny fire truck to put out fires, though some are hard to reach - solve each puzzle with the flow of water by using obstacles, buttons, elevators, and more to save Titan.

Finally a fun app with no intrusive permissions. You may remember Sprinkles was a FAOTD some time ago.
