since this was long time ago - any way to play avi files without converting them
all my avi are on external hdd and i do not have way to convert them
any ideas?
i use goflex to acess network drive and tablet want even download them

You say it won't download them, will it see them? If it won't see them it may be a ntfs formatted drive and some Linux/android devices still don't read ntfs.
Just a thought.

it can see the files but when i click on the file is ''loading'' then the message ''unsupported video file''
strange thing is i manage to download files on the tablet from computer but there was a message that video is not supported and this is for storage only
after all i can play them in vlc player - but i want play/download them strait from hdd
