CMP738B crashes with full memory?

I have a 738b model tablet. Twice now it has crashed losing all browser based connectivity. It gives several error messages having to due with browser based apps such as email, facebook, etc. This seems to be an error that occurs with a full internal memory, since it happens right after (or during) downloading or installing something. There are no memory full messages given and moving items afterword does not fix it. The only fix I have found is to do a factory reset, which is rather annoying since I have to start all over.

I am strongly considering rooting, but I have the Realtec WIFI and don't want to brick the system. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix?
