Handwiting

phoenixmesa, I havethe same thing when i write whole words. Single letters are english but who wants to write like that. I think I'll just stick with the keyboard, I see I'm too used to the pocketpc style of writing anyway.

When I input handwriting, the output is in Chinese. I have made sure all settings are english only and rebooted with no affect. Ideas?

Make sure dictionary is only English. or else it wont work...

I have checked every item in settings and all are set to english. The 2nd button from the lower left on the keyboard says "En". What else can I check? Where is dictionary settings? Thanks.

Settings > Language & keyboard > user dictionary

but when i click mine it has nothing in it........ so not sure that is the issue

my language is set to English in that menu....

my 2 keyboards in "language & keyboard" menu , click on each, my "input language" for both are set to English only - uncheck any other languages that maybe checked

my handwriting outputs english only

My bad. I thought it worked like my Bamboo input tablet where you can type full words, but I was wrong. You have to type single letters, then you get them in english. If you type a full word, for example "ball" you get a Chinese letter. Thanks for the input guys.
