Has anyone been able to compile the kernel?

You have the compiled kernel working with ICS or the JB update?

Still ICS, I haven't updated anything

FYI, the Jelly Bean bootloader won't boot an ICS kernel, and the ICS bootloader won't boot a JB kernel.

We don't have kernel source for JB yet, do we?

Well, it's funny that just when we figure out how to compile the kernel, they change the OS -- but it's actually best this way. It would suck to have all our kernels break now.

I tried to add a commandline to the kernel, but if I do this it wont boot anymore...could you confirm this?

I can try, but first I need to do two things:

1. Roll back to ICS
2. Figure out what kernel commandlines are and what I would put in one .

Do not take too much effort, I make a few more tests...
Commandlines are parameters passed to the Kernel.
they could be placed in the kernel .config or into the Boot.img
