Received a reply from Tempo Australia today acknowledging it is not a signal strength issue.
They suggested it could be a fault with the tablet and to return for repair via Aldi. I am not sure how the tablet could connect to other hotspots and not connect to iPhone/iPad hotspots unless there was a generic configuration issue.
The question is now whether to return the tablet to find this is a generic problem which will probably never be fixed due to the small number of units in the market. Or should I risk going down the rooting path and try to fix the problem myself? Or return for refund?
