I have a 1024. Was working fine until I got the frozen screen startup issue, After a few resets it is back and running. After about 5 minutes (i have reset it a few times and same each time) i get a "Low On Space-Phone storage space is getting low". I know there are issues with where it looks for SD cards and such.
My tablet is not rooted and will not recognize a SD card when I try to boot it with a SD card in and holding down the silver and power button.
My CPU will not recognize the tablet either.
What can I do to get memory to a level it will function as all apps, browsers etc all close due to the memory issue?
I have a 32 gb SD card so I can move any apps to it but right ow it has no additional apps other than what it comes with.
Very frustrating....can anyone help? Please!!!!!!

I am guessing you are running the firmware it came with? If so have you updated it with the firmware update from Coby? Before you do ANYTHING, read this thread. http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/coby-generation-2-development/24687-kyros-mid1024-owners-read-before-flashing-any-rom.html

O
nce you read and know if you have the correct board, look into the coby firmware update. the process is Very simple. One thing noticed is that Coby didnt give much space for apps and that could be your issue. If you do indeed have the "good" 1024n board, the firmware listed here: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...f-custom-gingerbread-android-2-3-mid1024.html is as good as it gets. I am running version 1.2 and LOVE it. It has everything the tablet should and works PERFECTLY for me. It gives a much larger space for the apps than the original firmware. FWIW, I have close to 60 downloaded apps for my unit and the space is great still. I have a 16gb SD card, but all my apps are still loaded in the internal card.

this is just my opinion. best you can do is read the threads here and decide which is best for you.

First MID1024 I got behaved this way, it was replaced and the new one worked fine. Bottom line: it was a hardware problem. I suggest that you ask for a replacement.

I do have that board, but how can i use the firmware if it will not recognize the SD on start up (holding down the silver button and power) or my CPU won't recognize it either. Is there a way to do it from the SD card and through the file manager at all?
