had my tablet 3 days ago and still said that 3.0.1 is up to date...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Android Tablet Forum
i had to go to the Asus website to get the update. it updated easily and seems to work great.
What you have done is download the patch for the kernel, which is the BIOS of the tablet. You still need to update the OS. Like others, I was able to update Honeycomb to 3.1 when my tablet arrived, although I did have to do a reset first due to other problems, like charging wasn't showing up.before updating my tf here is my config: Android 3.0.1 GPS 1.2.4 Wifi 5.248.35 Bluetooth 6.12 Kernel 2.6.36.3-00004-g069b8b5 Build No. HRI66.WW_epad-8.2.3.13-20110511 ive done this yesterday without success. i've purchased my microsd 16gb yesterday. i downloaded the file Version V8.4.4.5(WW). ive unzip and copied it to my microsd and insert it to my TF. then and exclamation point saying that update detected so i tap on it and reboot my TF. it also mentioned that my TF updated successfully but when i checked it on the system.. it's still showing everything same with android version 3.0.1. the only thing different was the Kernel version which before Kernel 2.6.36.3-00004-g069b8b5 and now it is Kernel 2.6.36.3-00004-g069b8b5 android@mercury # 1. anybody experienced this before? and what do you think happened here? the asus website update package is 3.1 but why im still at 3.0.1. i dont really understand here... what should i do... any piece of advice? thanks
