Just picked one up yesterday at local BB, the first unit I opened had really funky looking protector sheets on the screen & back plate (all bubbled & lints in between), I thought it might have been a sloppy assembly line, also odd was the battery was installed. When I browsed around a bot, I saw a video w/ a date stamp of 01.02.2011, definitely not a demo clip. It was the previous owner shooting a video of his ThinkPad while mocking the quality of the Huawei camera. The tape of the box was not cut but looked to be lifted and reused. Needless to say, exchanged it for a fesh unit.

What a moron trying to return something used without paying for restocking, and left data on it to boot.

Can this tablet work with skype for video and audio?

Not yet. I just got the unit and have not found a video conferencing app. 2.2 will bring that from what I understand. Great device though!

Would I be able to make cell phone calls with this tablet if I put my AT&T SIM card in it?

At $250, are there any other tablets that might be better?

Yes it will. I have AT&T and I use my SIM. You have to finesse it to get 3G to work. Mine still isn't working on 3G. It does on EDGE though.

If you bought it from Best Buy, then take your receipt back in and show them the difference and they will refund you.

I just but one a few days ago OPEN BOX ( Same return/warranty policy plus 10% off $249.99). BB didn't do a good job of wiping it. Needless to say it came with some unwanted free pornographic videos. BB had us bring it back in and made it right with a gift card ($50) and wiped it clean. In the end we got it for a great price. 174 plus tax and extended warranty.
