I tried to use this coupon today and they would not allow it. I whined very loud too.

They didn't allow me to use the coupon either. They said it is not a cell phone, it's a tablet, and tablets are not on the 10% off coupon.

^if u look at the exceptions list. tablets are NOT there; hence that may work, but again, YMMV

I attempted to argue that the tablet was displayed in the cell phone section by all the phones, showed them the 3G symbol on the box, had them get the manager , etc. Plus I had the printed coupon as well as originals that were mailed to me. No luck.

I have tracked down a car charger that appears to work and I am testing it's robustness as I type (peck?).
I have also chopped the cord and mated the plug end with a USB cable and the device charges through a powered hub USB port though I am not sure what load of usage it would sustain if you were treating the device to a power user onslaught!
Suffice to say it charges and could well be seeing the appropriate 2Ah current as the hub has a 3Ah supply.
That's on test as well.
