Just Got KitKat- Now No Video

I have the 1st gen nexus 7. I use firefox for android which crashes on a daily basis. Just tried a couple of vids, one on facebook, one on youtube and I just get a black screen. Tried it using Chrome and get the usual flashplayer not working.
On a minor note how do you get these smileys to show up? If I press one I lose half my message.

Chrome doesn't have support for Flash Player. The problem with FF is probably cache, go to the app manager and to all apps and find Firefox. Clear the cache and force stop then restart.

There are other browsers that do support Flash. Try Dolphin Browser or Next Browser if you can't get FF to work.

Sorry I can't help with the FF/YouTube problem. I have KitKat on my N7 Gen 2, and everything seems to be working fine so far.

To get a smiley, put your cursor where you want the smiley to appear and click the smiley on the line above your post. Select the smiley you want from the "menu" that appears and it should pop up in your post.
