need help with new tablet

I cannot get anything on my tablet unless i am near a wifi. including the books I have downloaded. help???

What tablet?
How was the book purchased and downloaded?
What apps are you using for each step?
Are these free books or is DRM involved?

i just received an android tablet, itis a 7" mid tablet pc. OS 2.2 i cannot do anything on it unless i am near a wifi. I cannot even read the books i downloaded on the kindle app. am i doing something wrong. would love to read the books at least when i am traveling.

Yes, something is wrong... kindle app does need to be connected for you to read a book you have downloaded.

Are you getting an error message?
Does the tablet just hang?
Do other apps run when not connected?

Bottom line you need to do more trouble shooting to be able to identify the problem.
