Netflix on A500

I doubt if the first generation will ever get Netflix because there is no DRM chip.

6 months ago I would have agreed with you however I can now say for certain that that is not true any more. MotoDroid now has an official Netflix app when press release stated it was NOT getting it a few months ago. As long as the security meets "Hollywoods" standards, that is when we will see an official release. Until then, enjoy your queue like the rest of us.

If my kid's 3ds will be running netflix soon and I can't run it on my A500, I'll be a sad camper.

OK I called netflix and they said in two to three weeks it would be able to be used on Acer a500. We will have to update outdate tablets. Now we will have to wait to see if they are telling the truth.

I just called Netflix and was told that it's "in the works" but could not guarantee that there would EVER be a solution. Said there are so many tablets out there now and different platforms for development. :-(
