Bravo. How about animating this?

Open on a polite Canadian (maybe idetified by the Maple Leaf flag haning on the wall in the back ground) with binoculars picking up a radio: "Please divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision."

Cut to a hand picking up a radio mic, lifting it in a tight shot of just the hand holding the mic up to the mouth and mic: "Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision."

Cut back to Canadian looking through binoculars: "Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avaid a collision."

Cut back to hand holding mic to mouth. Pull back to reveal an officer in uniform with short crew cut hair (think the bad guy in Avatar) standing on the bridge of a ship: "This is the Captian of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course."

Back to Canadian still holding radio but no longer looking through binoculars, now with an emphatic looks on his face: "No, I say again you divert YOUR course."

Back to Navy Captain on bridge pulling back as he talks. First to reveal the carrier, then panning across and showing destroyers and cruisers. Finally pulling back to show the entire group: "This is the Aircraft Carrier US LINCOLN, the second largest ship in the United States Atlantic Fleet. We are accompanied with three Destoyers, three Cruisers and numerous support vessels."

Back to Captain on bridge: "I DEMAND you change your course 15 degrees north. I say again, that's one-five degress north or counter-measures will be undertaken to ensure the saftey of this ship."

Back to Candians and for the final pull out as the line is delivered to reveal the a lighthouse surrounded by rocks and rough water: "This is a lighthouse. Your call."

Pretty impressive JP, maybe you and AT should form your own little production company.

so much for the lighthouse, or maybe that is just a decoy, as a Canadian myself I don't even know what kind of strategy is in place with this one LOL

It doesn't sound like something that really happened, more like a joke. An aircraft should be able to tell on the radar a ship from a lighthouse. Real or not, funny though.

We'll likely never know if true or not - The Americans would be too embarassed to publicly admit and the Canadians....well they are no longer around to confirm after the lighthouse fell on thier heads
