Official Lenovo A1 ICS for US Available Now for Testing?

I've mirrored the file on the Android tablets FTP for now: Index of /xaueious/LenovoA1/ICS_OTA/


I have no instructions for this since I am not an A1 user, but I think this can be flashed from recovery as update.zip.


Probably should go like this:
1) root your A1
2) install CWM recovery
3) make a nandroid backup
4) copy file into your device storage
5) flash the zip file from CWM recovery
6) (optional) root the ICS update using the latest update.zip su package from http://androidsu.com/superuser/

Should be compatible with 2GB or 16GB versions (I see two files named 'mbr'.

Build date was July 2, so pretty recent. This seems to be an engineering build, not a user build. So this might not be final. Performance is better with user builds as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't OTA updates suppose to come through the settings/ about tablet/ update , rout. And not through a browser download and sideload install like a third party ROM.

Today I get build A107I0_A404_001_013_0116_US via OTA. Until now it works fine.
