Open it up again and check the ribbon cable going from the screen to the board. I've read that the ribbon cable is a bit fragile..

yeah tried that it is mainly the top and bottom edges of the screen when in landscape mode. I can't open the usb drop down thingy when i plug it in to the pc to mount the sd card

yes but it seems that sometimes it doesn't calibrate

When replacing the screen, do you open it up from the front (like some apad models)?
