After cluttering up my home screens with various unrelated apps and finding them later by sheer intuition, I started looking for a way to organize application shortcuts. My Galaxy S2 supports folders - all you have to do is drop an icon on top of another and you've created a folder containing both shortcuts. No such functionality exists on my Sony Tablet. The solution . . .the free Folder Organizer Lite in the Android Market. A little less intuitive but it does the job!
A couple of snags with this app . . . Leave the option icon alone in the widget - alternatives to the default are flakey making selection difficult. I found the coloured themes obcured the widget, so stick with the default, clear or none.
Still a useful tool while we await Ice Cream Sandwich which should include this functionality more elegantly.
