Overwhelmed isn't even the word!

Hi peeps.

i have browsing the forum and searching for answers but it's so overwhelming as this is my first tablet.

I thought i'd dip my toe in the water and purchased a Mid X5a tablet. It's ok for general stuff like surfing and emailing. Nothing ground breaking.

I have read that I should root it and then overclock it.

Is this recommended?

I routed my Galaxy S phone using z4root easily enough. Would I use this software for the tablet? Would overclocking increase it's performance or brick the unit?

I have personally rooted the x5a and its super easy and then you can use apps like titanium back up and that's a plus, but I have never overclocked it and I never thought it needed it
