Quick office pro

I bought quickoffice pro on the strength of reviews, but when editing and tapping on the bottom left button (I have no idea what all these are called; is there a tutorial somewhere?), the options that are supposed to be brought up are blocked by the bar at the bottom. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?
