yes, the main purpose to have recovery is to make backup img and restore it if necessary.
so make sure you select back up and back up everything before you mess it up

I see several others have asked how to install cwm and there is no real answer. One post had a link to another post and talked of a script but i went there and there isn't a script. I asked in that thread but so far no answer, anyone just have the script and perhaps some 1,2,3 instructions to offer so i can get this installed?

What is your tablet version?...
Give us more information like:
android version,cameras number,internal memory,screen type etc.

Can you provide some information from terminal emulator?..

some background info-
i have the US bestbuy model with 2 cameras, i believe the v104, I am running 2.2.2 indonesian rom and cw 2.5.1.8. when doing a backup i get the following-

backing up boot...
backing up recovery...
backing up system...
backing up data...
E: Can't mount/dev/block/mtdblock6
(invalid argument)
Can't mount /data/!

I don't know whats wrong with your recovery trying to mount a wrong partiton

OK worked it out.
Thanks to all involved in getting this working.

Dammit!
I did a reflash and lost the recovery!
Now I'm back as I was and not able to boot into recovery.
I get a fresh install each time I try and that's annoying!
I think there is something amiss here somewhere.

look like it use old partition (eclair).

are you sure using cw 2.5.1.8 goodoane version, not cw 2.5.1.8 xaueious version?

I think you have to Press the power button and the volume button at the same time. let me know if that works. Can you explain how to install CWM.

I believe you hold volume up, send, and power. Alternately, you can download anreboot from the market. It will allow you to easily reboot system (normal reboot) or reboot recovery (for clockwork mod).
