Has anyone tried to replace the screen on an Acer A700? Looks like the LCD part and everything else still works ok. Except for the touch screen function doesn't work due to the cracked screen.
Man I hate to see that. I've personally not seen a write up anywhere going through a glass/screen replacement. As good as the A700 is, I don't think Acer sold a lot of them.
Depending on how much the repair runs, it might be more cost effective to just purchase a new one. I've seen brand new A700's for as little as $250 in the last month or so.
If you do get a repair estimate, please post the amount here as I'm now curious what it will cost....
