You have to edit this two files with a file manager with root access:
/system/usr/keychars/Generic.kcm
/system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl

I use qwertz-edited files from the Motorola Xoom on my Viewpad 10s. It works great.
So search azerty files for Xoom and put it on your 10s.

Is your keyboard well paired ? To me, I have done nothing special, he tablet itself gave my code paired. I took it on the keyboard and validated clicking on " enter ". I even have shortcuts on the keyboard that launches direct aplications and runs without doing anything. Or after I click in a text box and keystrokes and function.

well, i think it is well paired...

tried it on windows without problems ans even with a ipad 2 there were no problems at all!
Also the shortcut-buttons were working without having to do anything further^^

I have the same probleme with my usb keyboard, the tablet see it as qwerty but i'm french to it's suppose to be a azerty as the virtual one If you have any idea how to fix this let me know

Firstly, download the file azerty_keymap.zip HERE and chose between these 2 methods.


The first method:
Using ADB (you have to download Android SDK before)

just plug your ViewPad 10S and push files with these command lines

adb remount
adb push Generic.kl /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl
adb push Generic.kcm /system/usr/keychars/Generic.kcm
adb reboot


The second method:
Using Root Explorer (or anything else like it)

copy Generic.kl in the folder /system/usr/keylayout/ (mount r/w before)
then copy Generic.kcm in the folder /system/usr/keychars/
remount r/o
reboot
