today i decided to root my a500 running stock 3.2.1. it looked like rolling back to 3.0 or 3.1 was a little to involved. then google showed me a link Forum TegraOwners • View topic - A500 Guide: How to flash unrooted 3.2.1 OTA to ICS ROM . i followed those directions to acheive root only and used acer recovery for a modded cwm. so far so good. p.s. i am not a dev so icant help you if you brick your tablet. PLEASE read, then reread and read again and follow all directions to the letter.
Root acheived on 3.2.1 takes 10 min
