Sony Tablet S has crashed and now has red lines across screen.

I purchased my Sony Tablet S yesterday and had set it up fine but when I tried to watch a clip on youtube it flickered and the screen turned red. Now the tablet wont turn on or off.

Press and hold your power button for at least a count of 10, see if that restarts it

It didn't work neither did the reset but when it eventually ran out of charge it started to work again when I plugged it in.
