I'd like to know how others have used model numbers like 8150 or u8110? Dataviz wants to know your model number to give you the correct version of Documents To Go.

The Docs To Go viewer installed on the Best Buy S7 104 is the full version and all I did was purchase the unlock key. If for some reason you deleted it I would think you could just download the latest free version and if it runs fine buy the key. I can't imagine they make multiple builds for minor variants of a single model.

BTW I really like Documents To Go, and once I installed Better Keyboard it is working great for me (the Huawei stock keyboard was annoying to the point of being unusable.) I've tried other Office suites but I tend to go back to this one. Maybe it has something to do with the fact I first used it on my Palm in the relative early days, and I mainly use it to create and edit Word Docs.

Huawei makes other Android devices besides the S7, so that's why dataviz wants to know your Huawei model number. You may select 8150, RBM2, U8110, U8120, or U8230. they don't have S7, Ideos, or 104 as a choice. Refer to Documents To Go for Android Smartphones to see the selection list (upper-left)

This is really odd, none of the choices represent the S7, they are all various phones. S7 seems to be the model number of the tablet given the Kernel naming conventions of Huawei. There may be a distinction of V100 and V101, it's quite confusing. Also I noticed that although DataViz is interested in knowing the model phone you use it doesn't seem to matter as to the software, which seems to be a universal app for all Android. They just refer you to the Android Market or will send a DL link to your phone. It's possible that at that point a correct version is determined for your device, I suppose. The u8500 (not an option from DataViz) and the RBM2 (which is) use the 2.6.29 Kernel.

Since I don't think I will purchase a license for DTG anytime soon, I think I will instead contact Dataviz to ask them to add the S7 to the choices, and if it actually does have any bearing on anything. It sounds like you are correct, that the software is (generic) and it won't matter.

Too bad I just can't transfer the license from my Palm to the S7. Maybe I could get a small discount maybe?

I've bought my Huawei Ideos S7 tablet just in store, so it didnt come with a telecom provider, but i still use it with the current provider where i already had a abbo ..

I bought it from local store. I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia.
I m not sure where it was built from.

So this model S7-105 is the capacitive device, 1Ghz proc,RAM 512,Internal 8Gb.

But it comes with Eclair

Just curious if there are another member that has the same model with me.
