HAve not had either of my tablets ask for a phone number for market access. I had to install market on my Coby tablet and even then I still did not need a phone number. Instead of complaining about tablets why not post the tablet you have and you may get help as you do not need a phone number to acess market. Even my phone did not require me to give number when accessing market.
