Hate to say it, but truly "safest" option is to get a WHITE Pandigital Novel from either Bed Bath & beyond or Kohls... mostly for easy returns and their liberal return/exchange policy...

Augen seems to have dropped any meaningful support for the GT, nothing in a month now, and over for a new firmware... most of us returned the GT and went to the White Pandigital Novel w/modded firmware to make it behave like a tablet...

Larger 7" VIS 800x600 and it rotates on the fly either direction. It has 802.11n really strong! You change the internal storage from 1GB to 32GB and external up to 32GB. So you have 800MHz true CPU not like GT out of the box is 600MHz then you rooted it and you get 660MHz. It has 256MB and 512MB for FLASH. Still the GT is a tablet and the PDN_W is E-reader/tablet Hybrid (when you use Rooted ROM)

...has a few flaws though

it's HEAVY!!!

it's a bit more awkward to handle than the GT

video playback isn't nearly as good as the GT nor will it EVER achieve that level

feels slightly slower than the GT even with it OCed to 800MHz

dolphin browser works properly(hide bookmarks, but stock browser is POKEY on the PDN, dolphin is about as fast as GT browser)



pretty much everything else is the same, although I DO see FEWER apps in the market w/the PDN...

IF you get a PDN make SURE that you get a WHITE one. The black one is a nearly useless as anything other than an LCD reader...

Wait, what? I thought the black one has the newer faster hardware. Where can I find info on the differences between the black and white PDNs? The wife just got me the black one off QVC (she loves the easy pay...).
