unable to update to 1.1 from 1.0.1 manually

To all in discussion,
I was having the same problem updating to V1.1.0, I did have the SD card installed, and the screen started flashing that there was no program installed. As a newbie, I thought I had a brick on my hands already. After flashing it and starting over without the SD card in it, I succeeded at it. Now need to learn to sideload programs onto my nook color. This community has been very friendly and helpful. I thank all for the tips that I have learned by reading.

It's extremely hard to break the Nook Color software-wise. If you are now rooted, just use the android market apps to lookup/install apps. You will only need to sideload (copy apk on sd card & install from file explorer) apps if you can't find on the market or someone is sharing a app with you online.
