Archos just announced their newest tablet, the Archos 101 XS. This new high end android tablet comes with a keyboard dock and will hit european shelves first in mid September for £299.99 and make its US debut sometime in November for $399.

Here are the specs:

• TI OMAP 4470 which comes with a much improved PowerVR SGX544 GPU clocked at 1.5 GHz
• 1 GB of RAM
• 10.1-inch 1280×800 touchscreen
• 16 GB of built-in storage space
• A microSD slot
• A micro USB
• A mini HDMI
• Wi-Fi
• Bluetooth 4.0
• HD front-facing camera
• Will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in Q4 this year

Archos detailed a raft of new products at the IFA convention, including the new 101 XS 2 – the convertible Android tablet which succeeds the original 101 XS, which launched last year.
It offers a faster quad-core 1.6GHz processor and an enhanced screen (1280 x 800 resolution IPS display), but maintains the included stand dock and is affordably priced at approximately $355. Final U.S. pricing is still to be confirmed with the tablet to launch “soon”.
