How do I turn the battery off on my Zeki 10.1 Tablet?

What exactly do you mean by "turn the battery off"? Are you trying to turn the tablet completely off?

I meant to save the battery while reading? What can I do to have the battery last longer?

Turn the brightness down as far as reasonably possible and turn off all the radios (WiFi, Cell, Gps, Bluetooth etc.)

Thank you for your good suggestions. I already turned the brightness down, now I will check the others and see what they are set at.

You can also disable any automatic syncing of any live widgets like weather and disable mail syncing/auto checking.

OK, I will if I can find them. I am new at using a tablet as you can tell.

Any one app you are having problems with finding the settings in, just ask. You can also just put the tablet into airplane mode which will still allow you to read anything on the tablet but will disable a lot of other "stuff".

Thank you. I think it is in airplane mode but I can't find my way back to the settings that show the battery, wi-fi, etc.

Airplane mode does not disable use of the tablet but it does disable communications. It's not the same thing as blanking the screen, (sleep mode), or turning it off.
