Amazon Free App of the Day

Cross platform useful, being tied to Adobe not so much :)

I learned that lesson on my PC. One of my happiest moments was when I replaced Adobe Reader with Foxit Reader. Not only was Adobe huge, but I always had to wait for a 20 minute update to take place when I wanted to look at a PDF.:)

iMediaShare is the 1/20 app.

Discover and enjoy personal and online video directly on your TV screen! Play videos from your mobile to your HD TV! No box, no cables, no TV apps! Just pick a video and tap to play! Any time, any place, any screen - with iMediaShare in your pocket watch favourite videos, photos and music anywhere you happen to be, easily switching across to the screen size of your choice - phone, tablet or TV. A great selection to pick from - have fun with YouTube and Vimeo, stay informed with CNN or CNBC, laugh with Break, learn with Discovery or simply relax with family and friends, and the videos of happy times together. Share with friends and family - stream personal and online videos, photos and music to a large screen TV nearby - so that everyone can see.

Undecided about this one. It allows you to show photos and videos directly from your tablet to your DLNA TV. It has 3 1/2 stars but it is skewed by 1 star ratings from people that said you needed to log in to FB. Others said you could skip that option. Others gave it a low rating because their tv is not compatible. If you have a DLNA tv (Amazon lists a bunch of brands) this looks like it should work fine, but I haven't tried it yet.

Call of Combat: Air Assault is the 1/21 app.

Become a pilot of the worlds most elite helicopter. Your objective is to shoot down and destroy as many enemy fighters as you can. Pick up power-ups along the way to become even more powerful. Be very cautious, one wrong move can be costly.

I've got a feeling JB's going to like this one. Especially after cashing a few of his paychecks.:D

Wow, did you check the reviews? One 5 star and ten 1 star. Apparently you don't even do your own shooting.

Our temperatures dropped 30° in the past day. High in single digits and wind chill around -10°. WC tonight -25°. I figured your weather is probably even worse and ANY game is better than going outside. Keep Ticki warm too!

A little late for review purposes but I downloaded this one on potential alone. I opened the app but didn't use it. However, it did detect my tv instantly when it opened. could be great for sharing youtube from the phones and tablets if it works.

I downloaded it too. It hasn't recognized my tv yet, which is weird because I can use the Sony S tablet for a universal remote. Does Bluetooth need to be on?

Spider, we had -12 on the thermometer his morning with WC of -25. Needless to say, we stayed out long enough for Tiki to do her business and came right back in. Strong wind advisory is supposed to end soon. Nice day otherwise.

Brrr and no Pack to keep you warm (49ers!). lol

Your tv needs to be connected to your home network (either via lan or wifi). If it is DNLA compliant then it should be picked up as a media client by the app.

The temp isn't so bad, it's the wind.

I'll have to check the User manual for the tv. I have connected between the tv and the tablet before, so you would think it would be automatic. I can still use the app on the tablet, so it is good for something. :)

Kids Preschool Puzzle is the 1/22 app.

More than 1,000,000 parents have already downloaded Intellijoy's Kids Preschool Puzzle, a simple, entertaining, and educational game for preschool-aged kids. Newly available on the Amazon Appstore for Android, this popular app contains more than 100 fun picture puzzles.

Each puzzle presents your child with an outline of an image belonging to a category, such as animals, food, numbers, and letters. To solve the puzzle, the child must slide and snap the colorful puzzle pieces into place to reveal a delightful image.

Okay I can do this. It's only 4 pieces. Where's the hint button?

Go Ravens!

Wait a sec, that's not even the right division. Don't you at least want to be able to say you lost to the champs?
