Hi, I was hoping you could help me. My mother in law (80) keeps getting this persistant ad which will cover the top half of any screen rendering the tablet unusable. I have factory reset the tablet 3 times, installed only the most common aps that everyone uses and disabled pop up ads.
The above will clear the ad but after some days it will reappear. Her android phone does not suffer the same ad. Any pointers would be very welcome.

More detail needed, such as the brand of tablet, model number, version of Android, etc. On a side note, it's entirely possible that one of the built-in apps is generating the ad, in which case you'll need to track down which app it is and disable it if you can. Failing that, you may have no choice but to root the tablet so you can install AdAway.
