New Root/Full Working Play Store/Google Apps/Root-Explorer

Hi all,
I've successfully rooted v711, patched Root_Gapps_complete.zip and used YouTube_4_1_47.apk
All working right except that I don't see some applications in Google Play (it's says my device it's not compatible). When I get the apk outside Google Play, applications are working right.
I've tried changing build.prop, different Google Play versions, but not succeed.
Does anybody know any way so we can install all applications from Google Play?
Thanks a lot!!

Hi, welcome to the site have you tried updating Google Framework? or below is a new patched store, i keep meaning to put it in the Gapps file but other things take over!

Download this file - Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: Phonesky_3.8.17.4-2.apk

Now rename it to Phonesky.apk and put it on your SDcard, open root explorer and go to system/app and look for any googleplaystore apk and/or Phonesky.apk and delete them, then still in root explorer go to SDcard/external SDcard and press and hold the new Phonesky.apk until menu pops up and choose copy now go back to system/app and click paste, now just press it and it will ask to install, select yes once done reboot the tablet and you should now see a new playstore in your apps sign in and all should be ok.

I installed that Play Store but whenever I try and install an app that was originally unavailable it just gives me a 942 error. Tried looking for a fix but nothing seems to work :/

Hi,
many thanks for your comments, but I installed phonesky following the steps and I couldn't install it, it appears there's a conflict with the signed application, so it doesn't install....I have 4.1.1 installed....
Have a good weekend!

Clear data & cache for both Google Play Store and Google Service Framework, then reboot to recovery and clear cache. Did the root work for you?

Just copy and paste it to system/app then reboot.

Yeah the root worked! Managed to follow a guide from that Ondabbs.cn tough but I got there :p Sadly the playstore isn't working. Maybe 1.2 is a bit more of pain than normal? Not too desperate for anything. Can always grab the .apk's from elsewhere.

Now I see all the applications, but when trying to download the applications that i couldn't before, I get an error 942....

Hi, download this file - SU-RootKeeper.zip

Now you need to be on firmware 1.2/1.4 to start with as they are pre-rooted then open the zip file and copy the SuperSU and OTA-Root_keeper apk' to your SDcard, then make sure the WiFi is set up and using the tablets "File manager" go to the external SDcard and install SuperSU.apk and update if it asks to do so, now install OTA-Root_keeper.apk.

Run Root-Keeper and make sure the boxes are ticked to say you have Root, then select to "BACK-UP ROOT" once done select "TEMP UN-ROOT" then exit Root-Keeper. Now you can upgrade to 4.1.1 once done run Root-Keeper again and select "RESTORE ROOT".

Hi, I'm still having difficulty getting rooted.
Basically I can follow the first bit when I'm on firmware 1.2 and can back up (protect) root, and then temp un-root. However once I've upgraded to 4.1.1, Root keeper is gone and I have to reinstall. And then I don't have restore root options.
So I'm still stuck unrooted!!

Try protecting root on 1.2 then when on 4.1.1 change sdcard over and protect root again then temp un-root, now put the first sdcard in and restore root.

That doesn't work either as Root keeper has less access in 4.1.1 and even though you can Protect Root, it won't give the option to Temp Un root. As far as I can see it is because the 'Root permission granted' is not ticked. I also tried doing SuperSU first and that doesn't install correctly either, presumably as I don't have root access.
