Off-Topic Discussion

I just got it an hour ago, at 8:00 pm,last delivery of the day, I'm sure. But lets celebrate, bring the champagne waiter....or wathever my friends want, tonite is on me.I didn't try it on stock yet, I just put the cm7 in and I'm back in business! If my card works here and not in the nook I had before, I guess the issue was the nook, not the sd card and that does give me a little consolation , Spider, from the fact that I got rubbed.I big toast to my new nook!:) gg

Drinks on me to celebrate!

Yay Gg! Even better the CM7 card is workig without issue. That means other than being out of a Nook you are right back to where you left off. That is another benefit of a bootable ROM. Well as long as you remove it before your Nook gets stolen that is :D

I got a second Nook the other day (refurbished), installed CM7 but had errors. CM7 worked from the SD card though. Restored to factory and now my keyboard won't stay on screen to let me register it...
This is why I got a second one. I can play with ROMs on this one and leave my original in good working order.

A big toast to your second nook Schnoidz!
I was on stock a couple of minutes ago and I tried to post an answer here through the forum web page but the key board didn't pop up. Problems already? If I go to the web page when I boot through the cm7 card, the key board works . Let me go change my signature, I couldn't do that either on stock, the keyboard didn't want to come out . May be my nook had to much to drink!

The more I try the worse it gets. Now it just stays in the COLOR rainbow screen as it starts to boot and won't go past it. I'm probably too tired to do it right but I'll try installing CM7 one more time before giving up for the night.

Anyone ever hear of this guy?

Last night I got a call from a local pig sanctuary saying someone needed help with their pigs. I called the person and they had a family medical emergency and needed someone to care for their house pigs. I told them I could come over to talk to them right away. It turned out to be this guy and he gave me the key to his house! I'll go over twice a day to feed his 2 older pigs and let them out. I had to Google his name when I got home. He lives about 10 miles from me.

I tried nightly build 169 (it was already on my card) but didn't bother with GAPPS because I was just testing. It worked!! Now I'll install GAPPS.

Update - installed GAPPS then noticed flash isn't working. Went to the Market and chose to install Gmail. It gives me the message "Sorry! The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close". I hit force close and got the same message with Google Voice. Time for bed...

I rebooted and now get the error message as soon as I get to the CM7 wallpaper. This is the same problem I had last time. Looks like I have a problem with the GAPPS zip. I'll play more with it tomorrow...

I remember "The Hammer", and you must live in the tampa/ st pete area b/c that's where all the old wrestlers go to retire.

He was a big time wrestler when I was a kid. In the era of Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Savage, Rowdy Roddy Piper and so on. That is a pretty cool random meeting.

Sounds like a great start for a new career Schnoidz. If you do a good job for him, you'll even have a celebrity endorsement for the new business.:)

Yeah, I live in Clearwater which is a little north of St Pete. He lives in Seminole which is between the two.

I used to live in bradenton, and I would see several wrestlers driving around tampa/st pete/ clearwater area when i was up that way.

Hulk Hogan lives about 5 miles from me and Randy Savage lived near here also.

Greg and his wife each called me today to hear how their pigs were doing :)
